over and over i hear this
mostly from people who are still in ny
so it's not sour grapes
about how the city is changing
about how it is losing everything that made it what it once was
the woman who owns this store,
talking about how hard it is to stay open
how everyone now goes to whole foods
(don't forget the turkey)
they don't want to shop in small stores anymore
and
they don't want human interaction
i think that's the gist of it...
all of the changes
the closing of small businesses,
the decreasing diversity
the escalating rents
have seemed to have resulted in a loss of humanity
