i manage to get home just in time
to receive the paintings
from my last show

this is kind of huge for me
not having them here
has contributed to my not feeling settled

and the reality is
i have never had the chance to live with this work
never had the chance to experience what i made
never had the opportunity to learn from it

now that it's here
i can see a very strong connection
to what i am doing now
maybe it will help me feel
less disconnected
