it's hard
this pictures at funerals thing
i remember when my father died
being surprised my friends took pictures
i was so removed
i couldn't focus on anything
(and focus was an issue in those days)
months later i received the pictures
and they puzzled me,
even bothered me
but years later,
i treasure them

(my friend who took them died not that long after,
did i take photos at his funeral?
i don't remember,
my guess would be yes)
