a little break for the present,
though this was taken a month ago
as i was packing for europe
you can see that he knows
i am leaving

and now
he is very sick
and he is in every corner of my consciousness
and the uncertainty of his prognosis
makes me feel as if
i am reliving my mother's last days

he was going down
but the difference between before and after this trip
was huge
it doesn't matter really
but this trip
cost me at least
a month of his life
he was such a wonderful cat
