orchid obsession...1

i could call last year
the year of the orchid
it was definitely the gift of choice for my mom
and i ended up with a pretty lavish arrangement myself

i only took one of hers home;
i have never been that good with them
(they never rebloom for me)
and they were becoming a bit of a cliche
but it was my favorite

i put it outside the studio,
in the garden
and lo and behold
it is blooming
a little reminder
as we near the 6 month mark

some flowers are just the embodiment of their carer's souls..................a friend of mine has a most beautiful jasmine in her garden...........it was planted by her mother 41 years ago...........i can tell that definitely my friend has no green fingers........but this jasmine blooms every single year..........after a mere pruning in spring..................and she knows............that it is thanks to her mother......................
