today i spent 5+ hours
cleaning my watercolor station,
washing brushes, cleaning palettes & ink bottles, discarding unwanted work
when it was done,
i felt as if i had cleaned away my inspiration

there is something called studio juju
that can reside in the accumulated mess and mayhem
of ones environment
sometimes it is wise not to disturb it

i think i'll take it as a warning
and put off further such activities for a while
