Solar Eclipse at Coney
It was kind of amazing how few people were engaged in the eclipse but there were a smattering of cereal box pinholes, eclipse glasses and special binoculars among the selfie takers.

My own attempts at a pinhole did not yield spectacular results and my direct photos of the sun were even worse.

My favorite part of the day was being able to share my glasses with other people and to watch their reactions to seeing the sliver of sun. There was one family who had 2 pinhole boxes and were so clearly into the eclipse. I approached them with a pair of glasses. At first they thought I was looking to sell them and they were hesitantly interested but when I gave the glasses to them, they were ecstatic. That felt great.

The strangest part of the afternoon was not a shift in the light (as i was expecting) but was the sudden drop in temperature, it got so chilly that people actually started packing up and leaving.
