evidence of destruction
6/14
so today,
it was a beautiful day,
we have had so few of these,
so i decided to clean the skylights on the deck
that let light into my studio,
they were truly dirty
i also decided to do a little pruning
of my dogwood tree
and my neighbor's rose bush
that were blocking light
then i went down to the garden
and thought i'd do a little more pruning
my ivy was growing under the drainpipe
and i didn't want it to pull it away from the roof
so i cut it back
and
all of a sudden i realized
that i had also cut my neighbors rose bush
which was,
also lodged under the drainpipe
when i say cut
i mean cut
not pruned
and i was sick to my stomach
i had already researched propagating the clippings
(because i had done the pruning)
and apparently it is quite easy
so now i have as much of the cuttings as i could salvage
in water
and in pots
finger's crossed
that at least some of them root
