a few months ago
i was at an exhibit of Ana Mendieta's work
(“Ana Mendieta: La tierra habla (The Earth Speaks)” at Galerie LeLong)
and i did a double take

i had this same journal...
in fact i had a few
so seeing one
in a vitrine
in a gallery
was quite startling
and it led me on a bit of a search
into my basement
into my "archives"
