the view from here...

i am gratefully to have outdoor space,
if it comes to sheltering in place
which seems inevitable
at least i can be outside and in the sun.

so far we are still able to take walks,
i have been riding my bike which feels very safe to me
but i have to admit that after being totally inside yesterday,
i was actually fearful about going outside today.
i did ride into the city
(so empty, so spooky)
to go to the greenmarket.
that actually felt like the safest place to buy food,
each stand is roped off,
you tell them what you want and they get it for you,
the public doesn't touch anything
and a separate person handles the money.

it's still hard to take this all in

here the police are stopping and giving tickets to bike riders and lonely strollers........we can only leave to get medicines, food, throw out the rubbish, visit our elderly and go to medi-care in very urgent situations.......otherwise we are fined (60 to 6.000 euros)...and the polilce are taking these seriously and they are putting many offenders in custody.............

they say that, if the situation gets harsh, probably they will require the armed forces to help them keep the streets safe..............an idea which i totally detest.........buy i must admit that it may be necessary...........

acts of vandalism are starting to appear here and there.......above all at night............and this is so so dangerous............

as i told you the other day i feel really scared............
