9/11

it is the first time, in a very long time,
that i have not photographed
the tribute in light
on 9/11

i can usually see them from the deck
(though i go to the river to shoot them)
but this is what the sky was like
and there was no chance to see them through the cloud cover
at least from here...

and then
there was the rain
