the final results are not yet in,
for either the house or the senate,
we will probably lose the house,
we might hold the senate
BUT
while it was forecast that there would be a red tsunami,
that the republicans would sweep the elections
this did not happen
in fact,
it is normal for the party in power to lose 4 seats in the senate
and 20-40 in the house
during the mid-terms
we could lose 1 or 2 senate seats and if we lose in the house it might only be by maybe 12 or less
overall
actually excellent
for a country on the verge of a recession
