when making a stencil
to be used in paper making
it needs to be waterproof

sometimes i cut them out of foam core
and wrap them in heavy clear packing tape

i was at a (virtual)
paper making conference
and someone shared that she makes stencils
using a hot glue gun

so i drew the spiral
and filled the area not shaded
with glue
then cut it out
