got back yesterday
back to dangerous levels of pollutants
from the canadian wildfires

not really being able to go outside
lessened the sting of leaving the beach
(though
truth be told
i was more than ready to come back)

i am always happy to come home to my cats
and this trip,
ava had a breakthrough with her baby sitter
and did not hide the entire time
AND
was not covered with mats
so this was a huge relief for me
