kind of an awful picture to post
to celebrate 39 years of marriage

maybe appropriate only in that
our plans for today got trashed
we had torrential rains
that caused a city wide emergency alert
so many streets were flooded
many subway lines were suspended

we had plans to go to brighton
to maybe walk on the beach
but definitely to get caviar
but it simply was not to be
it would have been reckless and dangerous
and probably impossible

so we had take out sushi
and will try again tomorrow
