on the road...liguria

driving up the coast of liguria,
soon we will turn to go north
to the Langhe region

the thumbnail is in Ormea
where we stopped for lunch
at a little bar/restaurant
known for its "flower cakes"
that the owner bakes
unfortunately we arrived too late for them
:(
we were stuck in the car waiting for a torrential thunderstorm to pass
but i did have a lovely polenta/lemon cake.

we also have flower cakes is cartagena but i do not think they are the same as those in that restaurant...............they were typical at weddings.........
