at the airport returning from LA
it's 1 in the morning
but i stop to take this picture,
knowing it is a memorial of some sort
(it's for MIA pilots during war,
we are flying American airlines)

later,
g/ tells me
that while we are at the baggage check carousel
a man approached him
and expressed his appreciation
for my taking the picture
(can't imagine why he didn't tell me,
maybe my resting bitch face)

perhaps he has a loved one who is MIA
and was happy to see others noticing the memorial
