it was very important to g/
that with the trees gone
we needed to do something to shield us from the building behind us

so we put up a 6' high wooden fence
(the tallest legally allowed without applying for a permit)

i don't like it,
it defines the end of the garden
and makes it feel smaller & claustrophobic

and it hides my neighbor's garden (thumb)
which is wild & beautiful...
