in a very real way the work that i did today was a tribute to all that was lost 5 years ago

when i started theARTproject it was my way of remembering and helping other people present their way of remembering to the world
i felt that as long as we remember
as long as we allow the impact of the horror, disbelief, futility, pain, loss, memories, valor and life that was taken, to remain alive
that all those people will not have died in vain

it is forgetting that will cause the most damage
forgetting how our actions impact others
forgetting that there is injustice
forgetting that life is sacred
that will ultimately allow destruction to flourish

today i remembered that
and it had a profound impact on me personally
i felt i had to reverse a negative flow that i was indulging in
i felt to honor those who had died so prematurely
i had a responsibility
in my own little way
to turn a tide
that was clearly going to get worse before it got better
