As darkness approaches the lava fields begin to take on an entirely different scene. In the distance you can see the other visitors wandering around the edges of this large and active pahoehoe flow as it nears the pali. Pali is the name for cliffs in Hawaiian and pronounced Polly.

The colors are wonderful ... and I'm very astonished to see so many people wandering there ... isn't it dangerous??

Yes Mirika it can be dangerous but this kind of lava is moving really slow and as you get near it the heat keeps you from getting too close. The lava rarely ever errupts in that scary way most others might, it is the most stable volcano in the world.
