back to Kyoto Station
from my notebook:
Theen we went back to Kyoto Station and explored the underground mall (the Cube). I finally found that panda ocha, so I bought it along with... a raccoon! The drink tasted really bland like... normal cold green tea. So I added 3 splenda pills from Amanda and it tasted much better. I am writing this on a veryyy bumpy train. Splenda pills?! crazy! We looked through the mall, and at the very end there was a store which sold seals dressed up in all sorts of costumes (clams, whales), AND clothes + kimonos for small dogs! Awww, torture.
Sooo then the gang was hungry so they went into a place with reeeally good looking desserts, while Silvia and I went to look for a store that would pierce her ears, as well as... any store I felt like going into. We never found a piercing place, but we did find more dressed up Cupie keychains, and a little market with European/American food and expeeeensive chocolates. She bought CocaCola to cure her extreme hiccups. We went back to the gang at the designated time and they were still finishing up splitting potato salad, salad, and spaghetti 4 ways. No being cheap eaters on dessert, though -- they each ordered their own big plates/cups of wonderful sugar. I took out my remaining odango and green tea and ate that while they received gorgeous sweets. Good stuff. [I drew a picture] Drink with giant custard cube on top... so good. moocher. oh ya. The last odango was delicious, too, of course.
The day before I had eaten 14 odango. By the end of this day I had eaten 15 odango balls and vowed not to buy any more for the rest of the trip/my life. pffft, yeah right! no control!
