when you don't have a formal religion
or any formal religious training for that matter,
(i sometimes say i was brought up "jungian")
you kind of have to make stuff up as you go along

part of this process is learning to recognize the divine in daily life:
acknowledge the gifts you are given,
interpret the signs that emerge
and believe that they are a testament to there being an underlying structure to life and the universe
a structure that can be a support when things become incomprehensible

in other words
find faith

for me,
synchronicity has a lot to do with this
when seemingly random things come together in a way that has meaning,
i see this as an opportunity to renew,
reevaluate,
reinforce,
the path that i am on
