text from the announcement:
Abstract (Color) Oct 6 – Nov 1, 2007
Reception 5-9 PM, Saturday, Oct 6
260 Carlaw Ave., Unit 102, Toronto, ON 416-465-7352

Featuring: Robert Bigelow, Heidi Thompson, Harold Klunder,
Nina Meledandri, John Noestheden, Steve Rockwell, Cesar Forero

Nina Meledandri presents a metered subtle transition between forms that balance the senses in a gracious manner, much like classical music. Her abstraction is tried and researched over many years and through her pursuit of an even tempo, she has developed a recognizable, stable form of expression. Her color palette is toned down, unobtrusive, tasteful, almost a discrete whisper - and yet there is nothing flimsy here. There is instead the rock solid, Morandi-like sophistication of non-negotiable security.
