hard at work
by animus on February 10, 2008

2/10

stripping is hard work
not that kind of stripping
(tho maybe that is as well)
but paint stripping
100+ years of paint stripping

i guess if i am not putting paint on something
i might as well be taking it off

i used:
a heat gun: fairly good results but i had to buy a respirator because mine is... yes...in storage
peel away 6: pretty good, not toxic
some majorally (no that's not a word) toxic stuff in a can that works but at what price? (and it is expensive)
the citrus natural stripper: not as good as peel away and not as good as....
the soy gel stripper made from soy beans
i think it's expensive too, but it works

anyway it's a huge job
and it is something i should have started a year ago!!!

no
the shovel doesn't really figure into this
but it looks like hard work too
the job is so messy
i didn't take any snaps...
but i am sure i will
i am going to be at this for a while
