when they first put down this floor
i was home with a fever
when i saw what they had done
(the tiles were laid straight, not on a diagonal)
it made me sick
everything in the bathroom was on this grid
it looked so ordinary,
so boxy,
so not me


i like this much better
it's expansive
and
