i keep flowers for a long time,
in their vase,
even after they die...

sometimes the water evaporates,
other times
it turns into a swampy mess

the flowers in the pot
were from the flowers g/ gave me
when my show opened (3/9)

at a certain point
i noticed fresh blooms
among the dried out dead ones

closer inspection revealed
that roots were growing
so today i planted them

i needed the vase
for the lilies of the valley
so, it was time

and the weirdness?
in that drain
is a big water bug

now it's dead... for sure
but i thought it was before
and then it started running around...
