so today
i go to investigate my tomatoes
AND
more tomatoes are gone!!!

now
i am dejected

then
all of a sudden
i see a large green creature
it almost looks like it might be forming a chrysalis

now
i am excited
maybe i will witness
the hatching of some exotic butterfly
i rush to google: caterpillar tomato
and what i find is
that this is a hornworm
and it DEVASTATES tomato plants

as you can see from the snap on the right,
they are very good at camouflaging themselves
