it was ironic,
this fall,
to walk out of a training about what to do when ICE comes to your community
and there in the hallway are bags of ice melt

they didn't tell us
that just like throwing water
on the wicked witch of the west
you could melt ice by throwing salt on them
(if only it was that easy)
