as dark as it gets and as deep as i seem to go,
i do always trust the process.
i know that there is a balance to light and dark,
that they occur in equal proportion to each other,
but to benefit from this,
one needs to be willing to trust and experience fully.

in the past 24 hours, i've been shown both aspects:
a dark side to the light
and a light side to the dark.
one experience was devastating,
the other brought a piece of mind i haven't felt in months.
having one to balance out the other so immediately is a gift;
it doesn't always happen this way.

but when you really believe,
you are given signs to follow,
and insight that leads to truth,
and perhaps most important:
the ability to recognize these things.

today i can only say that i am grateful for:
the tools i have put in place
belief in process
my breath
my studio
and unconditional support

(it's one of the tools: 5 things, every day, for which i am grateful)

and i know i might not feel the same way tomorrow.

and that's another tool: acknowledging the gifts you receive.
