well, this is the original daily bread, i started these journals in march of '96 when i began painting every day. this is journal #67.

this practice, of painting each day is the cornerstone of my process in the studio and it is the single most valuable tool that i have.

it is basically a religion for me: something to support me in difficult times, inspire me in good times and to always provide the framework on which i build my painting life.

they have a somewhat magical power for me and at this point i rarely, rarely miss a day, it's just too important, too necessary.
