just one way of taking care...
i never used to buy cut flowers,
for some reason i seem to want them now

this is the flower vendor i like best in the market; i am still kicking myself for not having bought one of their lavender wreathes early in the summer.
(and i've known the owner of the farm for ages... her family has always sold mushrooms in the market; another of my favorite stands)

anyway,
while i know from the rose people that you use hot water for them,
i have recently learned that it is a drop of bleach in the water for snap dragons
and a 1/2 teaspoon of sugar for the zinnias.

and change the water every day -
it's always the every day stuff that gets me...
