magnolias... WOW!!!
3/31
so i went to the farm market today,
i actually went last week too
but was in such a state that i left without buying anything after standing in the fish line for about 5 minutes; there was no shad roe left, the flounder roe paled by comparison and i had an anxiety attack
but i digress,
i went to the market today,
(they didn't even have shad roe, the flounder roe was sold out, so i bought squid, but that's a story for my "other side")
and there were tulips & hyacinths in pots
and pansies & gerber daisies in flats
(which i bought to put in planters: my garden is about to become a construction site so i don't really see planting there at the moment)
but what really thrilled me
was not the cultivated stuff:
even more striking were the magnolias
just getting ready to burst
