there has always been an unfinished piece of this move
and it has been bothering me
the paintings from my last show
(now 3 years old)
have remained at my gallery
i have never lived with them
and i have felt their absence
i've had a real block against delaing with this
since it hilights the fact that i have not made a substantial body of work
since my last show
i got a call from my gallery this morning
they are "moving"
which, in this economic climate
sounds more like "closing" to me
since they don't have a new space lined up
so the paintings are coming home
and that's a good thing
but
it's also a bad thing...
