this was on the way home
stopped at the farm of...
well the relationship is way too complicated to explain
so let's just say it was a reunion of sorts

i don't know what i was expecting,
i knew there were 7 horses
but it turns out that's
3 horses, 2 donkeys & 3 ponies
as well as 2 great pyrenees, 3 cats,
about 200 koi, about 30 hens and a depressed turkey.

claudia is like zsa zsa gabor in green acres if zsa zsa had embraced country living, her husband, bobby duffy is one of those people who masters things in life so going from being a freelance it guy on wall street to a full blown farmer in 7 years was clearly not an issue.

anyway
i was totally blown away,
it seemed like paradise to me
which is kind of incomprehensible
after what i have gone through renovating just a 100 year old house;
this is a 200 year old farm house, with barns, hen house, pool, orchards, corn & potato fields, a little store, flower gardens
and everything is in this wild and woolly state
just barely on this side of "controlled"

but it was enchanting
it's actually what i want my garden to be
if i ever manage to get a grip on it

and we left with dill, cilantro, chard, peaches, eggs and 3 potted perennials

definitely the high point of the weekend

and oh,
it's really called the funny farm
