on my way home i saw them
3 vendors in a row selling dragonfruit
clearly it is the season

i passed the first
and thought about how vibrant they are
i passed the second
and thought what a nice picture they make
and i stopped at the third
because i remembered

i remembered t_l_v
i remembered using one
unexpectedly in my "flower a day" paintings
i remembered how important
it is to stop
and look
even when you are hot and tired
