In December there were some big seas along the Hawaiian Islands. I went down to this area pictured here and was surprised to witness walls of surging ocean water washing straight through this normally safe, dry and serene park.
The photo to follow I took to the immediate right of this one. In it you will see a full-on tidal wave rush towards me. I had my camera on a tri-pod and the second I snapped that picture I had to grab my gear and run like hell to keep from being swept away!
