Not much of a picture but it does show the mountains above the lake--I misplaced the good one I had of this.
The Blob is Toren's head, the guy I hiked up with in the story.
We watched huge avalanches cascade down those upper slopes. We even considered they could possibly reach the lake in the right conditions. I just this second remembered I took pictures of these...I will try to find them tomorrow...
Anyway, there is a very high probability that our wooden leg person was caught in an avalanche and only the leg 'survived'...
